October Half term Monday 26th to Friday 30th October

If you are planning to spend any time in the Wensleydale this half term why not get involved in some of our cycling activities.  They are a fantastic way to get the kids active outside or spend time as a family exploring the beautiful area.

Monday 26th October Mountain Biking at Hamsterley Forest

All day Young Peoples trip to Hamsterley Forest Trail Centre suitable for confident cyclists over 10. Spend the day with our Instructors learning new skills and enjoying the excellent trails. Participants need a suitable bike, helmet, outdoor clothing, packed lunch and small rucksack.  Costs £25 per child includes all transport and instructor costs.

Wednesday 28th October Family Cycling Day Surrender Bridge Swaledale 

10-1 pm Bring your family to explore the unique features of the trails around Surrender Bridge.  Instructor led traffic free ride suitable for confident cyclists over 5 (there are small hills that little legs may need help with).  All under 8s must be accompanied  by an adult. Partipants need a suitable bike, helmet, outdoor clothing, packed lunch and small rucksack. Meet at Surrender bridge at 10 am Costs £2.50 per child £5.00 per adult

Friday 30th October Family Mountain Bike Skills Day

Learn about route navigation, basic trail side repairs, kit, safe riding techniques and then put it all into practice with a guided ride. Suitable for families with children over 7. Adult £18 Children £12 10-4 pm

All sessions are led by National or CTC Trail leaders who are DBS cleared and are outdoor emergency first aid trained. All repair training is delivered by a CYTEC engineer.
