There's good reason why the Equilibrium has been a staple in our range for many a year now. The steel-framed, genre-defining model represents the perfect ‘one bike’ for any tarmac occasion, with a little less emphasis on race and more on ride.
Having won many-a-fan along the way with its' lightweight and durable double-butted chromoly frame, classic looks, full-length mudguard capabilities and sublime ride and handling qualities, the Equilibrium represents the quintessential four-season UK road bike.
With a little more relaxed geometry vs. a conventional road race frame, the Equilibrium is our lightweight steel all-rounder, ideally suited to big mile rides where comfort, speed and efficiency are the top priorities. The surefooted geometry, spritely steel frame and lightweight carbon fork work wonders to smooth out and tame the worst of the UK broken roads and will have you descending and cornering like you’re on rails!
Featuring both the same geometry and practical features that have made this range a true rider's favourite, the Equilibrium 10 manages to do so at a truly accessible price and without sacrificing details like the carbon fork or the wider profile tyre and rim too. Four season steel for all!
Viewed by many as an ideal winter trainer, we guarantee that after a few rides you’ll be won over by the impeccable handling and comfortable yet efficient ride qualities - worthy of use all-year round!
Entry-level friendly, super wide gear range without having to resort to a triple chainset (50/34T chainset w/ 12-30T cassette)
AKA ‘Thor’s Hammer’ and pronounced ‘Myol-n(ee)r‘. Our new double-butted, cold-drawn, seamless, Taiwanese chromoly tubeset also goes by the aliases of 4130, Cr-Mo and Chromo. It’s a like-for-like replacement for other, identical branded chromoly tubing and ultimately means a saving can be passed onto you via either a healthy price drop or a little more room for up-speccing without sacrificing performance.
New-school wide (22/17mm) Alex AT-470 rims combined with 28c Conti Grand Sport Race tyres give a vastly improved tyre profile and an increased interior volume, allowing lower pressures and increased comfort without a loss of speed. We've also upgraded to Sapim Race butted spokes help to offset the weight gain of the larger tyres. Try them at 80PSI and see for yourself!
Looking to turn the Equilibrium into a daily commuter? No problem - the built-in rear rack mounts, long-drop 57mm brakes and mudgaurd eyelets allow simple and easy fitting
